John J. McCombe

John J. McCombe is president and director of distribution at Richard Bernstein Advisors (RBA), an investment management firm located in NYC. McCombe oversees the firm’s sales, marketing, and communications and helps to set the firm’s overall strategy. He joined RBA in 2010.

Before joining RBA, McCombe was executive vice president and director of sales and marketing at Cohen & Steers and was instrumental in helping Cohen & Steers go public in 2004. He started his career at Merrill Lynch where he spent 14 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles. 

McCombe also is an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where he has taught “The Ground Floor – an Introduction to Business” to undergraduate freshmen for over 10 years. In addition, as a Fordham University Gabelli School of Business Advisory Board member, he is active in numerous student centric activities relative to career guidance and development.

McCombe holds a B.S. in Finance from Fordham University and an M.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University. He sits on several nonprofit boards in addition to the Gabelli School’s Advisory Board.
