Nature's Classroom is a residential environmental education program located in Charlton, Massachusetts. We serve students from kindergarten through 8th grade and provide hands-on, experiential learning opportunities utilizing natural resources. Our program fosters a sense of community, self-confidence, and appreciation for the environment. We have received recognition for excellence from the National Science Teacher's Association, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the State of Connecticut. Our curriculum aligns with the Common Core, Next Generation Science Standards, and emphasizes STEM learning. With 50 years of experience, we are dedicated to providing the best in experiential education. Role DescriptionWe are currently hiring for our Fall semester which runs Fall (End of August-December), and accepting applicants for mid-March to early June. This is an on-site contract role as an Outdoor Educator at Nature's Classroom in Charlton, MA. As an Outdoor Educator, you will be responsible for lesson planning, education, communication, teaching, and training. Your day-to-day tasks will involve implementing the curriculum, leading outdoor activities, providing instruction, and facilitating group discussions. A Bachelor's Degree in any academic discipline is welcome. No formal teaching experience or certification is required.
