  • Value Proposition

Enrolling in the Gabelli School of Business Executive MBA (EMBA) program is one of the best personal and professional decisions you can make. It will advance your future career success, your personal well-being, and the well-being of the society in which you will live. The program’s value proposition is straightforward: To offer exceptional, highly ranked executive-level business education that succeeds through its emphasis on business best practices and a commitment to the common good.

Program goals: To prepare each student to become a compassionate and successful global business leader who inspires and empowers positive change at three levels—individual (for oneself); organizational (for a company’s or organization’s multiple stakeholders); and societal.

To achieve these goals, the Gabelli Executive MBA program will help you to develop the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

    • Self-Awareness – No matter what your background or beliefs, the Jesuit education we provide affords special context for discernment. The program will help you to identify your strengths, define your professional and personal aspirations, and develop critical values for success in the marketplace and in personal relationships.
    • Ingenuity – The program will cultivate curiosity, creativity and authenticity in the classroom and beyond, empowering you to identify and operationalize innovative business ideas and practical solutions to challenges on a local, national and global scale.
    • Team Leadership Skills – The Gabelli School’s EMBA program is an intentional learning community, an educational experience that is cohort-based. From the very outset of your studies, the individuals within your cohort will be an important source of inspiration and support. They will form a network that will endure in the years following your graduation. The cohort experience also will serve to strengthen your team leadership abilities.
    • Community, Responsible Business, and Shared Value Creation - The Gabelli School of Business has earned a strong reputation for its commitment to corporate social responsibility, individual dignity and well-being, and financial success. The EMBA program will immerse you in the vibrant global business community of Fordham’s EMBA alumni. In addition, it will position you within a far larger group of successful business leaders who share your training in the Jesuit values tradition— an approach honed over nearly five centuries of success.

Who Should Apply to the Executive MBA

Each Fordham Gabelli Executive MBA Cohort consists of executives, managers and professionals who seek not only to earn a Fordham MBA in a convenient, time-efficient, and cohort-based format but to also transform themselves into Global Compassionate Business Leaders.

More specifically, the Cohort consists of leaders and managers at all levels in addition to functional specialists (i.e. sales professionals and traders), who wish to advance within their organization or industry, and/or pivot into a new industry.

The Fordham Gabelli Executive MBA takes pride in the “professional diversity” of each cohort, which consists of learners from multiple industries, functions, and life experiences. Eight years of professional experience or more is recommended to take full advantage of this truly unique
    learning experience.

  • Executive MBA students write their own ticket abroad. Literally.

Each 22-month Executive MBA experience concludes with an international capstone trip, the culmination of an in-depth, consulting-style business project. The students in the Executive MBA cohort collaborate to choose the country they'll focus on, and the business problem their consulting work will solve.

Then, once their consulting work is done, they get on a plane. In addition to presenting their project on-site, they benefit from cultural events and lectures on how to do business within their country of choice.
