Beth Fagin

Senior Associate Vice President and Deputy General Counsel

Beth Fagin joined Fordham in February 2016 as senior associate vice president and deputy general counsel. In her capacity as deputy general counsel, she offers strategic counsel on a breadth of legal issues including employment, student affairs, governance, legal compliance, contracts, and a wide variety of other areas.

Before joining Fordham, Fagin held notable positions as an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers and as employment counsel of a major corporation. Her professional portfolio also includes a pivotal role as a human resources consultant. She has conducted complex workplace investigations and spearheaded management training programs focusing on critical issues such as sexual harassment and discrimination prevention.  

Within the University, Fagin has been an active participant in fostering inclusivity. She has served as a member of the University’s Accessibility Committee and has lent her expertise to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. She has also participated in Fordham’s Middle States self-analysis in the area of ethics and integrity. Her engagement in mission-focused seminars reflects her wholehearted embrace of the University’s rich Jesuit traditions.

Fagin holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. Fagin is a licensed attorney and an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
