  • Steering Committee Co-Chairs and MSCHE ALO complete MSCHE Self-Study Institute

  • Recommend and receive Provost/President approval of Self-Study Report approach
  • Identify Steering Committee candidates

2023

January – March

  • Zoom consultation with MSCHE VP Liaison, Dr. Sean McKitrick
  • Schedule Self-Study Preparation Visit (SSPV) - April 25
  • Assemble Steering Committee
  • Draft Institutional Priorities and Self-Study Outcomes
  • Community Stakeholder Engagement on Self-Study process and feedback on Institutional Priorities
  • Hold first Steering Committee meeting, including Provost Charge
  • Administer Steering Committee survey to begin assembling Working Groups and Teams
  • Finalize Institutional Priorities and Outcomes
  • Finalize Communications Plan
  • Draft Self-Study Design and share with key stakeholders (President, Provost, Board of Trustees, Steering Committee, Cabinet, Faculty Senate, and Student Leaders)
  • Integrate Steering Committee feedback and finalize Self-Study Design

April

  • Implement communications strategy to raise awareness of SSPV
  • Launch Self-Study Website
  • Finalize logistics and agenda for SSPV
  • Submit Self-Study Design to MSCHE VP Liaison

  • MSCHE VP Liaison meets with Fordham Board of Trustees Executive Committee
  • Revise Self-Study Design on basis of MSCHE VP Liaison feedback
  • Submit final version to MSCHE
  • Finalize Working Group and Team membership

June – August

  • MSCHE approval of Self-Study Design
  • Evidence Inventory Team begins initial data/document collection

September – December

  • Steering Committee meets monthly
  • Working Groups meet regularly to address Lines of Inquiry; identify and gather evidence that supports Standard and Requirements of Affiliation under focus; collaborate internally and externally; carry out gap analyses; and draft Self-Study Chapter Reports
  • Working Group Gap Analyses reports are due on December 15
  • Steering Committee Co-Chairs and Communications Team continue community engagement and updates with various stakeholder groups to report on Self-Study progress

2024

January – February

  • Steering Committee meets monthly
  • Working Groups finalize initial Self-Study Draft Chapter Reports and share with Steering Committee by January 31
  • Steering Committee reviews and offers feedback on all Working Group initial Draft Chapter Reports by end of February
  • Steering Committee Co-Chairs and Communications Team continue community engagement and updates with various stakeholder groups to report on Self-Study progress

March – April

  • Steering Committee meets monthly
  • Working Groups finalize final Self-Study Draft Chapter Reports and share with Steering Committee by March 31
  • Steering Committee reviews and offers feedback on final Draft Chapter Reports by end of April
  • Steering Committee Co-Chairs and Communications Team continue community engagement and updates with various stakeholder groups to report on Self-Study progress

May–August

  • Steering Committee Co-Chairs draft Self-Study Report

September – December

  • Steering Committee meets monthly
  • Steering Committee provides feedback to Co-Chairs on draft Self-Study Report
  • Steering Committee Co-Chairs make final revisions and present draft to designated readers for feedback
  • Self-Study Report finalized and submitted to Visiting Team Chair
  • Host one-day Site Visit by Visiting Team Chair

2025

January – February

  • Share draft with the University community
  • Hold various Town Halls and implement feedback mechanisms for public comment
  • Submit final Self-Study Report to MSCHE
  • Steering Committee Co-Chairs continue community engagement and updates with various stakeholder groups to report on Self-Study progress
  • Prepare for multi-day Visiting Team Site Visit (dates TBD)

March – April

  • Visiting Team campus visit
  • Receive Visiting Team Report
  • Submit institutional response

June

  • MSCHE meets; announces outcome
