Online Students Health Insurance

Detailed information about the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) can be found on the Fordham University Insurance page.

The Student Health Plan with Aetna Student Health will continue to be offered to all eligible Fordham students for the 2020-2021 policy year, effective August 23, 2020. The Student Health Plan provides comprehensive health insurance that includes access to Aetna Student Health networks and pharmacies nationwide. The annual cost is $3,401. Your student account will be charged $1,221 for coverage from August 23, 2020 through December 31, 2020 and $2,180 for coverage from January 1, 2021 through August 22, 2021.

Online students taking 6 credits or more are automatically charged for the SHIP on their student account. Students are required to register online for SHIP. Students who already have health insurance can request a waiver online by submitting proof of acceptable insurance. Please Note: Students must complete a waiver every year.

Online students taking 5 credits or less are not charged for the SHIP on their student account and do not have to complete a waiver. Students enrolled in Gabelli online programs with four semester starts each calendar year, do not need to complete a waiver.

Gabelli students and students taking 5 credits or less can enroll in the plan under a voluntary option, must complete the online registration and will have to pay online with a credit card. Students can also enroll their spouse or dependents.
