Campus Ministry Welcomes New Students
A Very Warm Welcome to You!
Let us be one of the many hellos you will hear from everyone here at Fordham. We are so excited to have you with us these next few years, and we hope to make many good memories with you. Campus Ministry is a multi-faith, student led ministry that is here to support you during your time here at Fordham.
Together with you, it is our mission to build a community where you belong, where you are known, and where you feel connected to others. We will do this by walking with you and sharing the spiritual riches of different faith traditions, learning from one another and coming together to address urgent global problems such as climate change, racism, immigration, and economic disparity.
Campus Ministry cultivates this solidarity in mission to help you discover and explore the deeper meaning and purpose of your life through programs such as retreats in our very own retreat house, Ignatian yoga, liturgical ministries, choirs, spirituality groups, service and justice opportunities, and multi-faith programs within Catholic, Jewish and Muslim life!
Hear from our new Director of Campus Ministry, Fr. Phil, in his letter to you about this remarkable journey we are embarking on together.

31 July 2024
Feast of St. Ignatius LoyolaDear Members of the Class of 2028,
Welcome to Fordham! I hope you are excited about joining us on campus in a few weeks. On behalf of the Campus Ministry staff serving you at Rose Hill and Lincoln Center please accept our warmest welcome and encouragement as you begin this next stage of your educational journey. So much will be new for you when you arrive and it will be easy to get overwhelmed with possibilities and opportunities. We hope you will let us offer some quiet times for reflection and to focus on community as you arrive.
Campus Ministry, at its heart, is a concrete manifestation of Jesuit cura personalis, or care of the whole person. Along with your intellectual and social growth, we hope you will work on developing a relationship with God and a growing desire to use your gifts and talents for the service of others. Although we are deeply rooted in our Jesuit and Catholic traditions, we want to make all of you from whatever background and faith tradition feel welcome. We have on staff directors for Jewish and Muslim life, and foster ecumenical outreach in student groups for other religions. Wherever your home, you will find a home away from home here at Fordham!
I want to personally invite you to take every advantage of the presence, programs, and services of Campus Ministry. Along with this letter you can see a brochure with more information about our program offerings. You can also visit our website, fordham.edu/cm and follow us on social media @FordhamCM.
Do enjoy the rest of your summer. We look forward to welcoming you for Move In and Orientation!
With prayers during this time of transition,
Philip G. Judge, S.J.
Executive Director of Campus Ministry
