Jewish Life Graduate Students
Graduate Jewish LifeĀ
This year, we hope to create a graduate student community - Fordham Graduate Jewish Life. We plan to hold meaningful conversations about all sorts of topics (what does it mean to be Jewish at Fordham, for example?) and to foster social collaborations - anything from learning together to karaoke! Please join our network and subscribe to our e-newsletter to stay up to date on all things Jewish at Fordham!
High Holidays
At Fordham, we will dip our apples in the (date) honey, hear the shofar, share lots of festive meals, symbolically cast away our since as we do tashlich on the Hudson and in the botanical garden, break the fast, make decorations, build the sukkah on the Bronx campus and more. These events are free of charge and open to graduate students but you must register in advance!
Rosh Hashanah
Wednesday, October 2 - Friday October 4
Yom Kippur
Friday, October 10 - Saturday, October 11
Register for all meals and events
Find the JSOs on campus before and during the holidays to celebrate with snacks and friends! Make sure to check Instagram @rabbiatfordham for details.
Also: While we will not hold religious services this year, we are happy to give you tickets for services at nearby synagogues and Hillels, including transportation. Find more info in Section 2 on the RSVP above, contact the JSOs or email [email protected].
Wishing all of us a shanah tovah umetukah, a sweet 5785!
