Urban Agriculture and Food Security Roundtable

On February 2nd, CCEL hosted Urban Agriculture and Food Security, a roundtable discussion, at the McShane Campus Center, which brought together so many of Fordham's local grassroots partners here in the Bronx.

With a focus on organizations and initiatives doing related urban farming, farmers’ markets, and sustainable food systems, the event centered on discussion and envisioning, building connections between non-profit organizations and government agencies at different levels that can provide support and expand on existing related programming.

Co-sponsors included Congressman Ritchie Torres, the United States Department of Agriculture and the Mayor’s Office of Urban Agriculture for their presentations examining strategies for enhancing opportunities for urban green space and food security.
