Online Summer Workshops in Sustainability, Environmental Justice, and Integral Ecology

We are thrilled to share the “Online Summer Workshops in Sustainability, Environmental Justice, and Integral Ecology” hosted by Santa Clara University. Please see the details below and contact Keisha Shay at [email protected] if you want to participate.

Open to faculty, instructional staff, and campus sustainability staff, the online workshops focus on incorporating sustainability, environmental justice, and integral ecology into the curriculum. Workshops also prepare participants to train others on their campus to integrate this important material into their teaching.

Approach: Each workshop involves around eight hours of work over one week, including a live orientation on Zoom, optional office hours, and self-paced learning and online discussions. Participants receive online feedback from the workshop instructor and their cohort throughout.

Topics: Three workshops are available in the summer of 2024.

  • Sustainability across the Curriculum - June 26-30. This is an introductory workshop for newcomers to this material or those in need of a refresher.
  • Environmental Justice and Integral Ecology - July 8-12. This is an intermediate-level workshop for people who have some experience with the material and want to develop their conceptual understanding of environmental justice and integral ecology.
  • Pedagogy for Sustainability and Justice - July 22-26. This is an intermediate-level workshop for people who have some experience with the material and want to develop their teaching methods.
