Faculty Workgroups
In order to engage and cultivate our growing community of scholars, we offer membership to cohort-driven workgroups, sponsor talks, lectures, and roundtable discussions on topics of engaged learning.
Each semester, the center offers faculty the opportunity to participate in a workgroup that centers on course creation. We workshop course proposals and syllabi, support partner relationships, and discuss questions of engaged pedagogy.
Are you interested in learning more about community engaged learning, and developing or revamping a community engaged learning course with a cohort of colleagues? Join a faculty workgroup this summer or fall. These interdisciplinary communities of 8-12 faculty members meet regularly to workshop courses and projects and to discuss the pedagogy and theory of community engagement. Participation is honored with a small stipend.
