The ¡GO! Team

There are 3 main ways to join Global Outreach:

  • As a Participant
  • As a Leader
  • As a Chaperone

Each Project has 1 Student Leader, 1 Chaperone, and 8-10 Participants.

¡GO! Formation Process

For the 8-10 weeks before immersion, each ¡GO! Project team will meet regularly for "formation." These meetings serve 2 purposes:

  1. To build a cohesive team
  2. To learn more about the project (where we're going, who we're working with, and why)

These goals are met over the course of the 8-10 weekly meetings, which are broken up into 3 phases:

  1. Introduction to ¡GO!
    • Learning about the Center for Community Engaged Learning and the History of Global Outreach
    • Understanding the relationship between Social Justice and Ignatian Spirituality
    • Considering language Personal Reflection
  2. Project Content
    • What is the Context and Culture of the Specific Project
    • Meeting the Community Partner
  3. Logistics
    • Travel Plans
    • Project Itinerary
    • What to Pack
