Resources for Grant Applicants
Eligible organizations can apply for technical assistance in applying for Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant funding. Depending on the program, eligible entities include community-based organizations, nonprofits, local and state governments, tribes, faith-based organizations and institutes of higher education.
Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (EJ TCTACs) provide training and other assistance free of charge to help underserved communities build capacity for developing stronger grant applications and navigating grant application systems.
The following three organizations can assist eligible organizations in EPA Region 2 serving New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and eight Indian Nations:

Las organizaciones elegibles pueden solicitar asistencia técnica para solicitar subvenciones de la Agencia de Protección Ambiental (EPA). Dependiendo del programa, las entidades elegibles incluyen organizaciones comunitarias, organizaciones sin fines de lucro, gobiernos locales y estatales, tribus, organizaciones religiosas e institutos de educación superior.
Los Centros de Asistencia Técnica de Comunidades Prósperas para la Justicia Ambiental (EJ TCTAC) brindan capacitación y otro tipo de asistencia de forma gratuita para ayudar a las comunidades desatendidas a desarrollar capacidades para desarrollar solicitudes de subvenciones más sólidas y navegar por los sistemas de solicitud de subvenciones.
Las siguientes tres organizaciones pueden ayudar a las organizaciones elegibles en la Región 2 de la EPA que prestan servicios en Nueva Jersey, Nueva York, Puerto Rico, las Islas Vírgenes de los EE. UU. y ocho naciones indígenas:

WE ACT for Environmental Justice (formerly known as West Harlem Environmental Action) is a nonprofit environmental justice organization based in Harlem, Manhattan, New York City founded in March 1988 to mobilize community opposition to the city's operation of the North River Sewage Treatment Plant, and the siting of the sixth bus depot in Northern Manhattan. Today, WE ACT focuses on urban quality of life issues such as climate justice, clean air, access to good jobs, public health, pollution, and sustainable and equitable land use.
The WE ACT Technical Assistance Collaborative aims to service underserved, rural, and remote communities impacted by environmental injustice within New Jersey, New York, and eight Indian Nations (Seneca Nation of Indians, Tonawanda Band of Seneca, Tuscarora Nation, Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, Shinnecock Indian Nation, Oneida Indian Nation, Onondaga Nation, Cayuga Nation). Register here.ACTUAMOS por la Justicia Ambiental (anteriormente conocida como West Harlem Environmental Action) es una organización de justicia ambiental sin fines de lucro con sede en Harlem, Manhattan, Nueva York, fundada en marzo de 1988 para movilizar la oposición comunitaria a la operación de la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales de North River en la ciudad, y la ubicación de la sexta estación de autobuses en el norte de Manhattan. Hoy, WE ACT se centra en cuestiones de calidad de vida urbana, como la justicia climática, el aire limpio, el acceso a buenos empleos, la salud pública, la contaminación y el uso sostenible y equitativo de la tierra.

The Environmental Protection Network harnesses the expertise of over 650 former EPA career staff and political appointees from across the country to serve as a trusted resource, answering calls for objective analysis, scientific rigor, and a vision for a transformed 21st century EPA.EPN’s pro bono Capacity-Building Technical Assistance Program provides assistance to communities and NGOs, as well as state, local, and tribal agencies disproportionately impacted by environmental and health issues. EPN's network of volunteers assists organizations to more effectively and meaningfully participate in government decision-making by helping them navigate EPA, potential grants, regulatory processes, federal policies, and publicly available data to support their work. La Red de Protección Ambiental aprovecha la experiencia de más de 650 ex funcionarios de carrera de la EPA y personas designadas políticas de todo el país para servir como un recurso confiable, respondiendo llamados de análisis objetivo, rigor científico y una visión para una EPA transformada del siglo XXI.
El Programa gratuito de asistencia técnica para el desarrollo de capacidades de EPN brinda asistencia a las comunidades; ONG; y agencias estatales, locales y tribales afectadas de manera desproporcionada por problemas ambientales y de salud. La red de voluntarios de EPN ayuda a las organizaciones a participar de manera más efectiva y significativa en la toma de decisiones gubernamentales ayudándolas a navegar por la EPA, posibles subvenciones, procesos regulatorios, políticas federales y datos disponibles públicamente para respaldar su trabajo.
