  • Professor Kim has published articles and essays on Afro-Caribbean medicine and food, Indigenous land rights and resistance, natural history and the history of science, and Atlantic revolutions. She is currently working on a book project entitled John Tyley’s Garden: The Life and Art of a Botanical Illustrator in the Revolutionary Caribbean, which explores the work of John Tyley, an Afro-Antiguan artist who worked as a botanical illustrator in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Her work can be found in such journals as Eighteenth-Century StudiesThe Eighteenth Century: Theory and Interpretation, and Early American Studies.
