  • Tom Hertweck is the editor of Food on Film: Bringing Something New to the Table (Rowman & Littlefield, 2014) and founding co-editor of the book series Cultural Ecologies of Food with the University of Nevada Press. He is author of research focusing on ecocriticism and environmentality, food studies, vegan studies, and American literature and film. His current manuscript is a study of food commodity paratext located at the intersection of public reading practices and commercial food packaging, provisionally entitled “Narredibility: Reading and Eating in Postwar America,” so going to the grocery store with him becomes and hours-long adventure. Additionally, he is the most recent past-president and current vice-president of the Kurt Vonnegut Society, the international scholarly organization devoted to the author’s work. Tom is also affiliated faculty in Fordham’s Department of American Studies.
