Frank L. Schmidt, PhD, is renowned for his research on personnel testing, selection and placement, the role of intelligence and personality in job performance, and meta-analytic methods. He has received the Association for Psychological Science James McKeen Cattell Fellow Award, the American Psychological Association Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award for the Applications of Psychology (with the late John Hunter) and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award (also with John Hunter). He is a fellow of the APA, the APS and the SIOP, and is past president of the measurement, statistics and evaluation division of the APA.
