Mark Greenfield is the Founding Artistic Director of The Faux-Real Theatre Company. Between 1996-2005 with Faux-Real, Mark pioneered immersive theatre with productions that included William Shakespeare’s Haunted House, FUNBOX and Htebcam (Macbeth Backwards), devised theatre productions staged in venues throughout New York. More recently 2010-Present, Faux-Real has been applying their vibrant aesthetic to classic texts with productions of Bacchae, Oedipus Rex & Lysistrata at NY Theaters and festivals including La MaMa and Summerstage. As an actor, Mark has worked with IMAGO, Gorilla Rep and The Shoestring Players, and the Commedia dell’Arte company I Giullari Di Pizza. Film credits include: lead role in Amir Naderi’s VEGAS: Based on a True Story and in Two-Hundred Thousand Dirty in which Mark co-starred alongside Grammy winning rapper Coolio. In addition to his work at Fordham, Mark also currently teaches acting in public schools, and is writing screenplays in his spare time.
