Learning Goals for M.A. in Catholic Theology
- Students will know the core methods used by scholars in the fields of biblical studies, history of Christianity, systematic theology, and ethics.
- Students will have advanced knowledge of a more specialized concentration in one of the five fields of study in the department: Bible, Christianity in Antiquity, History of Christianity, Systematic Theology, or Theological and Social Ethics.
- Students will be able to use theological resources in either French or German and, if appropriate to course of study, one or more biblical languages (e.g., Hebrew, Greek).
- Students will be able to conduct interdisciplinary research that is conversant with at least two fields of study within the Theology department.
