Emily Krebs recently received a CCEL Faculty-Led Initiative Grant from Fordham in order to support their Mad justice research with community partner Trans Lifeline and their Safe Hotlines Project.
Sophie Mitra received a $600,000 grant from the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund to research and monitor disability rights globally.
Project
Elisabeth Frost launched the website A Picture of Health: Jo Spence, a Politics of Disability and Illness. Funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and Fordham University, and co-curated with Kenny Fries, the website places the work of the radical artist and activist Jo Spence in the context of the lived experience of chronic illness and of contemporary disability arts. Also, as part of the project, a three-part event series based in the course "Introduction to Disability Studies" featured artists and writers exploring chronic illness and disability arts.
