Daisy Deomampo is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Fordham University. She is a cultural and medical anthropologist whose research interests lie at the intersection of science and technology studies, critical race studies, reproductive health and politics, and bioethics and social justice. Dr. Deomampo is the author of Transnational Reproduction: Race, Kinship, and Commercial Surrogacy in India (NYU Press, 2016). Her current project, funded by the National Science Foundation and the Wenner-Gren Foundation, examines race and identity in the context of gamete donation among Asian Americans in the United States.
