March 8, 2024 (at Lincoln Center campus and on Zoom) "Private Grant Workshop" sponsored by the Office of Sponsored Programs, and the Office of Development and University Relations.

Rebeca Franco, Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs, and Marcy Funaro, Senior Director of Institutional Giving, spoke at this workshop, which focused on applying for grants from private funding sources, including foundations.

April 16, 2024 (at Rose Hill campus and Zoom) "Federal Grants Update" sponsored by the Office of Sponsored Programs. The audience heard from Mr. Rogel Nuguid, Manager of the Office of Sponsored Programs. He described some of the recent changes in applying for federal grants, particularly for NIH and NSF. OSP Director Rebeca Franco also briefed those attending on current policy and also extended her office’s offer of assistance to researchers regarding grant applications.

May 3, 2024 (at Rose Hill campus) “Federal Grant Writing Workshop” sponsored by the Office of Sponsored Programs

NIH workshop on May 3rd in which two speakers, Drs. Yuan Liu and Dennis Glanzman, both former NIH officials, addressed concerns of early-career researchers in grant writing and NIH relationship building. This workshop was organized jointly by the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Office of Research.
