Student Account Bill Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Welcome to Fordham University!

Use the following information to help you understand your billing statement and all associated charges. If you have questions regarding your billing statement, contact the Office of Student Accounts at 718-817-4900.

  • All students who enroll at Fordham University are required to complete an electronic Financial Responsibility Agreement through the portal. The agreement serves to improve transparency and heighten awareness of your financial responsibility as well as University billing and payment practices. The agreement outlines the way in which we will notify you about any balance owed to the university and the importance of paying your bill in a timely fashion. You only need to sign the agreement once as long as you maintain continuous enrollment at Fordham. If you are away for more than two semesters, you will need to sign a new agreement upon your return.

  • View your Electronic Bill (E-Bill) and make payments via electronic check through your E-Bill Suite. Your estimated financial aid will only appear on your bill if you have accepted it. You may accept your awards online at fass.fordham.edu. Your revised estimated credits will appear approximately 2-3 business days after accepting your aid online.

    To make payments:

    • Have your routing number and bank account number available
    • Select “My E-Bill Suite” in your student portal (fordham.edu)
    • Select the “Payments” ribbon
    • Click “Make a Payment”

You may authorize your parent(s) or a third party to view and pay your bill. For more information, please visit our website.

  • If you plan to sign up for a Monthly Payment Plan, please visit fordham.edu/mpp for more details.

  • The housing and meal plan charges on your bill represent estimated charges. The charges on this statement are the average rates for a double room and a meal plan for one semester. The Office of Residential Life will send you a communication to select your housing and meal plan, and will send a follow up email of your housing assignment to your Fordham email.

Your account will be adjusted once you are assigned housing and have selected a meal plan. You are responsible to pay the balance, including the estimated room and board, by the due date.

For any questions regarding your housing charge, please call 718-817-3080 for the Rose Hill campus and 212-636-7100 for the Lincoln Center campus.

  • Lab fees are assessed for certain classes such as biology, chemistry, graphic design, and photography that require additional resources or equipment for the course. Lab fees will be assessed to your account after registration.

There are other fees you may incur throughout the semester, including, but not limited to, parking, health center visits, voluntary meal plans, and ID card replacement charges.

  • To receive your loans, please complete the Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling at studentaid.gov. If your loans aren't appearing as estimates on your bill, please check your financial aid requirements at fordham.edu/undergraduate-financial-aid/. You'll get half your eligibility minus a 1.057% fee each semester. For example, a $5,500 annual loan means $2,721 per semester.

  • You must apply for a PLUS Loan at studentaid.gov, have a signed a PLUS Master Promissory Note (MPN), and complete a PLUS loan request form.

If your parent is denied credit for a PLUS loan, you are eligible for an additional $4,000 ($2,000 each semester less 1.057%) in a Direct Unsubsidized Loan.

  • Estimated TAP award may appear initially for fall semester on your bill, while the actual amount will be applied mid-semester. To check on the status of your award, contact HESC

    Fordham's TAP code: 0245

  • If you have not done so, please report the aid to the Office of Student Financial Services. You may take this aid into consideration when making your payment, however, outside aid only reduces the balance once the funds are received and applied to your account.
