Study Abroad & Travel Scholarships

FCRH offers several scholarships to help defray the costs of study abroad and international travel especially during the summer months. Please see below for the different options. The deadline for these applications is Monday, February 3, with applicants notified by mid-February. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.   • Funded by the Tobin family and their friends to honor the memory of Mark Tobin, FC '89, this $5,500 award is intended to support student travel during the summer months. Applicants should have broad academic and extracurricular interests. The fellowship committee will give special consideration to applicants whose travel plans show imagination and creativity. Students can access the application here.   • The Miller Study and Service Abroad Scholarship provides up to $10,000 in assistance to students partaking in international education and priority will be given to those who enroll in a study abroad program that contains a service-learning curricular component or will provide an opportunity for sustained volunteer work.   • Funded by the Leahey family in memory of Dr. Edward B. Leahey, Jr., FC '69, this $5,500.00 award is intended to support the cost of travel for a current junior during the summer or fall semester. Applicants should be students with a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative average who are actively involved in the extracurricular life of the College. The review committee will give special consideration to applicants whose travel plans show imagination and creativity. Students can access the application here.
