Access and Success
We must ensure that we attract and retain students, faculty, and staff who come from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and that we provide all members of our community with equitable access to opportunities and resources that will enable each to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
- Identify a full-time Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and meeting/working space to drive DEI initiatives for students, faculty, and staff
- Work with admissions to create recruitment initiatives that increase the number of underrepresented minorities enrolled at GSB, and work with area chairs to include faculty from underrepresented backgrounds with competitive vitas
- Develop a high school to career pipeline and scholarship program that funnels high-achieving NYC community students through GSB; this pipeline will be developed in partnership with area Catholic high schools and the PPD
- Ensure that all administrators and staff have access to current DEI initiatives and include DEI communications during first-year and transfer orientations
