Institutional Viability and Vitality
We must develop the institutional capacity to support our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, measure our success, and chart a future that provides adequate resources and expertise, endorses effective practices and policies, and collects and utilizes appropriate data.
- Empower and recognize administrators and faculty tasked with DEI initiatives and providing oversight for strategic goals; appoint a DEI Director to closely collaborate with the GSB community and execute the DEI strategic plan, and create an annual “Dean’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award” to recognize administrators and faculty who have maintained innovative DEI initiatives
- Gather and distribute data related to DEI initiatives to better align GSB with the University’s strategic framework and school-based plans. Develop a GSB specific dashboard with DEI metrics and distribute the metrics to relevant stakeholders to determine improvement opportunities.
- Develop strategies to improve DEI-related rankings to stay competitive with other top-ranking business colleges in the U.S.
- Develop consistent DEI-related communications strategy to highlight emphasis on an approach of DEI at GSB by including a consistent DEI definition and statement across various channels; work with GSB marketing to develop a DEI specific website and communications
- Allocate resources to support students, staff, faculty, and administration for DEI efforts such as an annual budget, co-sponsoring opportunities, and DEI fundraising with individual, corporate partners, and foundations
