D.P.S. coursework is taught by scholars from the Gabelli School’s full-time faculty.

Doctoral students also benefit from regular seminars and lectures given by visiting faculty from renowned U.S. and international universities and by expert practitioners from industry and government.

Program Director

An Yan, Ph.D.

An Yan is a professor of finance at the Gabelli School of Business and the associate dean of research and faculty development. He also serves as co-director of the Center for Research in Contemporary Finance.

Professor Yan received his undergraduate degree from Tsinghua University, China, and his Ph.D. in finance from Boston College. His main research interest is in theoretical and empirical corporate finance. He has published his research in the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and other significant academic outlets.
