Charles Schreger
Adjunct Professor of Statistics and Strategy
Charles Schreger is a leading expert in the licensing and marketing of films, television series, and events to broadcasters and streaming services around the world. For nearly 30 years, as president of HBO Enterprises and executive vice president and special assistant to the CEO, Schreger negotiated and oversaw dozens of ground-breaking licensing, co-production, and joint venture agreements. In addition, he worked closely with the HBO and Time Warner senior management on a variety of strategic initiatives. Prior to HBO, Schreger served as senior vice president and assistant to the CEO of the Samuel Goldwyn Company, and as Senior vice president, film acquisitions, and president of a theatrical film division at Columbia Pictures. Schreger is currently advising U.S. and international broadcasters, producers, and media companies. He is an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where he has taught the Ground Floor course for first-year students, Industry Analysis, Strategy, and the Business of New Media. He also is an adjunct professor of marketing at New York University’s Stern School of Business and a visiting professor at the American University in Dubai. Before entering the entertainment industry, Schreger was a journalist and staff writer with Variety and the Los Angeles Times. He holds a B.A. from Brandeis University and a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
