Denise L. Bennett
Adjunct Professor of Communications
With 20+ years of media and entertainment marketing experience, Denise Bennett is a seasoned professional. She is currently the vice president of brand strategy at iHeartMedia, specializing in multicultural marketing partnerships. She is also an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business and New York University, where she teaches at the graduate level.
Bennett has held marketing roles at WarnerMedia, Viacom, NBCUniversal, the NBA, and TV One. Her many accolades include The Network Journal's 40 Under 40 Achievement Award (2019), the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) Catalyst Award (2020), the Black Women in Media’s Trailblazer Award (2021), and the Advertising Club of NY Rockstar Award. She most recently was awarded the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) Luminary Award (2022).
Bennett holds a B.S. in music business from Indiana State University and an M.B.A. with a dual concentration in marketing and media and communications from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. She has served as the president and alumni liaison of the Fordham Black & Hispanic M.B.A. Association and vice president of the Fordham Media & Entertainment Alliance. She currently serves on the Fordham Gabelli Alumni DEI Council. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she is a classically trained pianist, an avid world traveler, and a proud & active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
