Samuel Blank
Adjunct Professor of Communications
Samuel Blank is certified as a conflict resolution specialist by the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution. In his capacity as a senior trainer, he has conducted workshops for hundreds of educators, administrators, safety officers, students, and parents in the skills of cross-cultural negotiation, team building, and conflict resolution. Blank served as an assistant to the superintendent of Manhattan high schools as the district director of conflict resolution centers. He is also certified as a violence prevention SAVE provider by the New York State Education Department
In addition to over 30 years of experience as a classroom instructor, Blank has worked as an adjunct professor of communications at CUNY, where he created and taught upper-level skills courses in conflict resolution. He also designed and taught crisis management courses at the Graduate School of Educational Leadership at Pace University and the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. Blank authored an enterprise/college textbook, Managing Organizational Conflict, which was published by McFarland and Company in 2020. He is on the faculty at the American Management Association, where he taught workshops in negotiation, and is an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.
