  • Carolina Villegas-Galaviz currently works as a visiting research scholar at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where she teaches the Business Ethics and AI Ethics. Previously, she was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Notre Dame. Before moving to the U.S., she worked as a lecturer in the management department of ICADE (Spain) and as a research assistant at IESE Business School. She has a background in philosophy, and her research is at the intersection of business ethics and artificial intelligence ethics.

    She holds a Ph.D. from ICADE and was a visiting doctoral student at the Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame. Her dissertation, “Business Ethics and Ethics of Care in Artificial Intelligence,” is among the first dissertations related to AI ethics. She holds a Master’s in Organizational Governance from the University of Navarra, and a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.A. in Communication from the same university. She won the Society for Business Ethics Founders Award in 2020 and 2022.
