“The level of candidates that we have brought on board from the Gabelli School into IBM and the different programs (Intern/Co-Op) have been very good candidates, with a number of them transitioning into full-time roles upon graduation. They have the skills, experience, and drive that we look for and have been welcome additions to the team."
How You Can Help
-
When you hire an individual who has completed their studies in any of our graduate programs, you acquire the talent to enhance and build your business in so many ways. Our students are immersed in a business education that prepares them for what’s ahead. They bring a fresh perspective and an innovative approach to the companies that hire them, along with a sense of dedication and commitment that are part of the values we instill in them. Make a difference by providing a student with the chance to begin or advance their career at your company or organization.
-
Internships provide the critical opportunity for students to explore a range of career paths that might interest them, while gaining the hands-on, relevant work experience hiring managers seek. Our student interns are willing and able to take on a variety of jobs that serve to build their knowledge and skills, while enhancing your business. Want to learn more?
-
What better way for our graduate students to learn about business and the world of work than by interacting directly with successful alumni who are willing to share their experiences? The Gabelli School of Business Career Network affords the perfect opportunity for you to impart your wisdom and provide helpful tips.
-
Visiting the business establishments of our alumni provides our students with an insider’s view of the types of operations they run and the corporate and organizational structures in which they function. Consider hosting a corporate site visit—an opportunity for students to gain “real-world” exposure to the world of work.
-
Our corporate information sessions provide another way for alumni to connect with our graduate students to share information about job or internship opportunities, and to meet with individual who might be candidates for open positions.
Additional Options
Alumni can also impart knowledge, share advice, and help our graduate students to get ahead by: participating in our mock interview program, which allows them to practice interviewing skills with seasoned professionals; serving as a guest speaker or panelist at one of our many events; attending networking events or coffee chats.
