While the direct hiring of our students is critical to our mission, it is also of paramount importance that employers really get to know them and vice versa. The Gabelli School offers a wealth of opportunities to build a trusted and long-term presence with our students— a powerful and proven path to ensuring optimal outcomes.
The Gabelli School’s Lincoln Center campus is the site of many in-person graduate recruitment activities, however, a variety of other resources, activities, and initiatives are available to cultivate lasting relationships.

Utilizing CareerPath is the most effective way to make students aware of employment opportunities at your company. Posting a job to the Gabelli School of Business portal is free of charge, once your company is registered. It provides the ability to add, deactivate or modify/update postings in real time.

We create resume books as a service to employers, which are used for their purposes only and should not be shared with third-party recruiting entities. Resume books that feature information regarding students in our M.B.A. and M.S. programs are distributed to employers early in the fall and spring terms. Customized books are available upon request, which focus on the resumes of students with specific qualifications. These are available any time during the academic year.

Information sessions allow students to gain insights, meet with company representatives, and learn about internship or full-time employment opportunities. Employers are encouraged to host an information session once they post their recruitment opportunities on CareerPath, but before the application deadlines. Career Development will work with you to actively advertise your company’s information session to graduate business students, and the promotional approach can be tailored to address your firm’s specific needs.
Here are some helpful guidelines to facilitate the planning and execution of your information session:
- REQUEST. To organize an information session or presentation, employers must submit a request via CareerPath (powered by 12Twenty), which will be reviewed and confirmed on a rolling basis.
- SCHEDULE. Information sessions can be held during most of the academic year, except for exam periods and holidays/breaks. Please review the “Key Dates” in the Recruiting Calendar.
- TIMING. Information sessions are usually scheduled for 60 or 90 minutes. For on-campus sessions, company representatives can access the event space approximately 20 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin.
- CATERING. Should you wish to arrange catering for your event, please liaise directly with Fordham University’s preferred vendor, Aramark. Please visit the Fordham University Aramark website for catering information.

The Career Development Office partners with employers to coordinate interviews throughout the academic year. Below you will find helpful information to facilitate the planning and execution of on-campus, off-campus or virtual interviews:
- REQUEST. Interview date(s)/time(s) must be requested by employers via CareerPath (powered by 12Twenty). Requests will be reviewed and confirmed on a rolling basis.
- SCHEDULE. Interviews can be held during most of the academic year, except for exam periods and holidays/breaks. Please review the “Key Dates” in the Recruiting Calendar.
- TIMING. Interviews are customarily scheduled from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- COORDINATE. Employers may coordinate interviews with selected candidates directly, or the Career Development staff can arrange the interviews in the preferred format.
- APPLICANT PACKET. The Career Development Office is able to provide company representatives with an interview packet containing resumes and schedules.
- LOCATION. Typically, on-campus interviews take place at the Career Development Office located at 140 West 62nd Street, New York, NY 10023. However, interviews may take place at alternate locations.
- The Career Development Office has a video conference facility and quiet space for students to participate in virtual interviews.

We are eager to connect employers with diversity-focused graduate student organizations that may align with company initiatives. These include the Black and Latinx M.B.A. Association, Business Veterans, Women in Business, and Gabelli Pride. Partnerships with these student groups offer your company exposure to students of diverse backgrounds through speaker series, conferences, and annual banquets.

Corporate site visits provide our students with an insider’s view of a variety companies. They offer an opportunity for students to gain “real-world” exposure to the world of work, while becoming familiar with your particular organization as a prospective employer.

Our office can help you connect with Gabelli School M.B.A. and specialized master’s students for professional networking opportunities. If you prefer to meet with students one-on-one or in a small-group format, we can facilitate the scheduling of office hours and coffee chats.

Becoming involved in classroom and academic activities is a great way to engage with students and become familiar with the Gabelli School teaching and learning experience. From classroom presentations and case-study competitions to pro bono consulting projects and company-sponsored faculty and student research projects, there are a multitude of ways to get involved.
