Preliminary Budget Justification:
The amount I am seeing from the Professional Development Grant is a small fraction of the total project cost. The Vector Ecology Laboratory will be able to cover some of the supplies with additional external and internal funds. These prices have been negotiated with Life Technologies and include discounts of up to 53% for TaqMan Master Mix based on list prices. Life Technologies has also agreed to cover the shipping and handling fee. Please see attached quotation.
