About the Program
The Fordham University Special Education Leadership Institute (SELI) equips current and aspiring leaders with the skills to oversee school and district-level special education programs. In partnership with Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES, SELI offers a comprehensive curriculum for those seeking to enhance their leadership in special education.
Participants who complete the program will receive a Certificate from Fordham University.
Special Education Leadership Certificate Program
Program Purpose
This certificate program prepares participants for leadership roles in special education. Co-sponsored by Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES and Fordham University, the program emphasizes developing knowledge of special education trends, inclusion strategies, and data-driven practices to support students with disabilities.

Apply a systems-based approach to align special education with general education and community services, developing a cohesive vision for district-wide programs.
