The Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education shares in the following accreditations and affiliations of Fordham University.

The University is a member of the American Council of Education, the Association of American Colleges, the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities, the Council of Graduate Schools of the United States, the National Association of Graduate Schools, the Council of Higher Educational Institutions in New York City, and the Association of Universities and Colleges of the State of New York.

It is an accredited member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and is on the list of registered Colleges and Universities of the Board of Regents of the State of New York.

GRE's M.A. in Mental Health Counseling & Spiritual Integration program is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council. The M.A. in Mental Health Counseling & Spiritual Integration is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC) for the period of MAY 2017 to MAY 2027.

The mission of the MPCAC is to accredit academic programs that provide science-based education and training in the practice of counseling and psychological services at the master's level, using both counseling and psychological principles and theories as they apply to specific populations and settings. Although programs may vary in the specific model of training and professional development utilized, commitment to science-based education is emphasized in the interest of providing services that are culturally responsive and that promote the public good.
