Key Points Regarding 2025 Benefits Open Enrollment
- Enrollment Period: Open Enrollment begins on Monday, October 28, and ends on Friday, November 8.
- How to Enroll/Make Changes: Log into the Employee Portal (fordham.edu/my-pages/employee) and go to Benefitexpress to enroll or make changes.
- Confirmation Statement: After enrolling, carefully review your Confirmation Statement You will have until Friday, November 8th to make any final changes.

What’s New for 2025
Introducing the DPPO Buy-up Plan for 2025!
The DPPO Buy-up Plan will be offered as a third Dental Plan Option with Cigna along with the current DPPO and HMO plans. Below are some highlights of the new plan:
- A calendar year maximum of $2,500 (Please review the Benefit Summary for more details.)
- 100% coverage for Diagnostic & Preventive
- 60% coverage for Major Restorative
- A lifetime benefits maximum of $2,500 for Orthodontia (Coverage for Dependent Children to age 19.)
Maven Maternity & Newborn Care for UnitedHealthcare Members
Maven is a 24/7 virtual support platform that provides education and coaching, personalized guidance, and trustworthy resources for pregnancy and postpartum. With Maven, participants can book virtual appointments or message with providers spanning over 30 specialties, including OB-GYNs, doulas and lactation consultants.
Calm Health is a new well-being App that builds on the self-guided content available from Calm (sleep, meditation and mindfulness) and includes additional features and resources for UnitedHealthcare members, including mental health screenings and recommendations for additional in-network solutions. such as coaching and therapy.
REMINDER: One Pass Select is a subscription-based fitness and well-being program that supports a healthier lifestyle. Employees can access thousands of gym locations, including national brands and digital fitness options, with no long-term contracts or gym registration fees.
Premium Contributions: The vision plan premium will remain unchanged for 2025. The dental plan premium will increase by 2.5% for DPPO, and the medical plan premium will increase by 12.1%. The employee cost share percentage for the medical plan will increase to 18.5%. Local 153 members should refer to their collective bargaining agreement for their cost share percentage increase.
