Fordham Flourish
What is Flourish?
Fordham's Flourish program is a 5 month peer-learning initiative that focuses on the professional development of employees across departments on a set of core competencies.
The Flourish program has three core objectives:
- To upskill employees on various competencies
- To assist employees with building their networks
- To help engage and retain Fordham talent
Fordham hopes Flourish will further develop employee leadership capabilities and inspire members to take part in shaping the future of the University.
Listed below are the current Fordham Flourish members for 2023.
Nazirah Ahmed
Nazirah is a Supervisory Senior Accountant within the Controller's Office. She has been with Fordham for almost seven years. Prior to Fordham, Nazirah was in the hospitality industry working for various properties in NYC. Nazirah received her bachelor's in accounting from Binghamton University.
Jamil Ahsan
Jamil is comparatively new to Fordham and especially to his new role of Assistant Director. He joined Fordham IT in 2020 as a Cloud Agile System Analyst and was promoted to a leadership role in January 2022. Prior to Fordham, Jamil was with GoldenSource, a well-reputed financial service company for enterprise data management. Jamil has a master's degree in cybersecurity, political science, and Urdu language and literature.
Rebecca Ancheta
Rebecca is an Administrative Business Analyst in the Office of Finance and has been at Fordham for over six years. Prior to that, she worked in commercial real estate and then in media, most recently at Granite Broadcasting, where she was staff accountant and executive assistant. She received a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she double-majored in marketing and studio art.
Kujegi Camara
Kujegi is the Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Operations at Fordham's Center for Community Engaged Learning where she facilitates empowering connections between Fordham students and the surrounding neighborhoods. Kujegi brings with her to Fordham seven years of experience in non-profit program management, community organizing and advocacy for faith-based and immigrant communities, and partnership cultivation. Kujegi holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Princeton University and certifications in grant-writing and non-profit leadership.
Charles Clency
Charles serves as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residential Life within Student Life. He has been with Fordham for a year and a half. Prior to Fordham, Charles served as Director of Residence Life at Manhattan College and work at several prestigious institutions around the country the last 25 years. Charles received his master's degree from Canisius College and his bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama.
Xiomara de Leon
Xiomara is the Benefits Administrator in the Human Resources Department for Fordham University. She has been at Fordham for over 15 years. Prior to Fordham, she worked for a start-up technology company as the Executive Administrator and then Human Resources Liaison for the Chairman and CEO. Xiomara studied at Barnard College and Fordham University and is currently working towards both a SHRM and a CEBS certification.
Alexandra Griffin
Alexandra is the primary Athletic Trainer for Women's Basketball, Men and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field, and Squash. She joined the Fordham Sports Medicine Staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2019. Previously, she served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the Stevens Institute of Technology from 2015-2019. Prior to Stevens, Alexandra served as a New York Jets Preseason Training Camp Intern. Alexandra earned her M.S. in athletic training at Florida International University. She completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology-sports medicine from the University of Virginia.
Crystal Hiraldo
Crystal is the Assistant Director of Disability Services at Lincoln Center. She has been with Fordham for almost five years in her role as a staff member. Crystal received both her B.S. and M.S. in psychology from Fordham University.
Shanelle Holley
Shanelle joined Fordham Law School in the fall of 2015 as a Conference Administrator. She became the Senior Conference Administrator in 2017, the Associate Director in 2018 and was promoted to Director of Conference Services in 2022. Prior to working at Fordham Law, she worked for 13 years with two different law firms in New York City: Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and Outten & Golden LLP. She also has owned and operated an event planning business, Imaginative Creations by Shanelle, for the past nine years. Shanelle received her Bachelor of Arts in government from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Emily Horihan
Emily is an Associate Director for Transfer & Articulation Services within the Office of Academic Records. She has been with Fordham for seven years. Prior to Fordham, Emily served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, working as a Program Coordinator for Playworks in Boston. Emily received her B.A. from Fordham College at Rose Hill, M.A. in history from Fordham's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Fordham's History Department.
Alyssa Kaufman
Alyssa is an Associate Head Volleyball Coach within the Department of Athletics. She has been with Fordham for nearly four years. Prior to Fordham, Alyssa was at The College of New Rochelle as the Interim Director of Athletics and Head Volleyball Coach within the Department of Athletics. Alyssa received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with a Spanish Minor from Montreat College.
Cesar Lopez
Cesar is an Assistant Director of Admission for Rose Hill's Undergraduate Admission staff. He began his role in admissions on September 2020. Prior to Fordham, he graduated from St. John Fisher College with a B.S. in sport management.
Savanah Manos
Savanah is a Resident Director for First-Year Students within the Office of Residential Life at Lincoln Center. She has been with Fordham for a year and a half. Prior to Fordham, Savanah was with the New York City Department of Education as a high school English teacher. Savanah received both her bachelor's degree in English and Master of Science in teaching from Fordham University.
Sierra McCleary-Harris
Sierra is an assistant editor within University Marketing and Communications. She's been with Fordham since August 2020. Prior to joining UMC, Sierra held various roles in the journalism industry, most recently as copy chief at Adventure Media and Events. She earned a B.A. in communications from Susquehanna University and an M.A. in journalism from New York University.
Rose Marie Reyes
Rose Marie is a Office and Operations Associate with DAUR. She has been with Fordham since June of 2016. Prior to her time in DAUR, Rose began in the Law School serving as an Executive Secretary until her transfer to DAUR in December of 2017. Her past experiences include working at Rose Associates, Inc., Milliken & Co. and Otterbourg, PC in addition to other positions held throughout her career.
Beatrice Rice
Beatrice is the Assistant Director of Student Engagement within the Career Center at the Lincoln Center Campus. Beatrice has been with Fordham for five years and has years of experience in retail and event coordinating and holds a vast knowledge in those areas of the industry. Beatrice obtained a Bachelor of Science in human resources at CUNY York College and then obtained her Master of Science in business management at the Gabelli School of Business.
Teandra Rogers
Teandra is an Assistant Director of Student Accounts in the Enrollment Services area. June will be her fifth year working with Fordham University. Teandra was employed at SONY, an HVAC company and another college prior to working at Fordham. She has a Masters of Science from Utica University and a bachelor's in sociology.
Jean Royall
Jean is the Associate Athletic Director for Equipment Operations and Purchasing within Athletics. He's been with Fordham since graduating in 2013. Jean completed his undergraduate degree in History in 2013 and an MS in Management in 2020, both at Fordham.
Keisha Shay
Keisha is an associate director within the Center for Community Engaged Learning. She has been with Fordham for a few months. Prior to Fordham, Keisha worked at New York University in the School of Professional Studies. Keisha received her Ph.D. in educational leadership from Caldwell University in New Jersey, and has also worked at Montclair State, where she did her undergraduate work and earned a master’s degree in counseling: student affairs in higher education.
Danielle Smithson
Danielle is a Senior Assistant Director/Customer Service Manager within the Office of Student Financial Services. She has been with Fordham for three and a half years. Prior to Fordham, Danielle was a Financial Aid Counselor at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania for three years. After graduation, Danielle was a Servicing Specialist at Navient Corporation. Danielle received a Bachelor of Science in management and marketing from the University of Delaware.
Idalia Ulloa
Idalia is the Assistant Director of Endpoint Services within Information Technology and she manages a dynamic team of support techs that are responsible for all staff and faculty devices throughout our five campuses. She has been working at Fordham for eight years in the computer support area. Prior to Fordham, Idalia was a systems engineer for a clients services company out of Tarrytown. In 2019, Idalia received her MBA from Fordham University and, with time permitted, she looks forward to furthering her education.
Sebastian Vazquez Amaro
Sebastian is an Assistant Director within the Office of Undergraduate Admission. He has been with Fordham for three years. Before Fordham, Sebastian was at George Washington University and was an undergraduate admission counselor. Sebastian received his bachelor's degree from George Washington University and is pursuing his master's in business administration at Fordham University.
Michelle Zhang
Michelle Zhang is the Assistant Director of International Admission within the Office of Undergraduate Admission. She has been with Fordham for one and a half years. Prior to Fordham, Michelle was an Associate Director of Admission at an International School in China. Michelle received her Master of Public Administration from Binghamton University.
