Campaign For The Fordham Law Experience

In launching FORWARD: The Campaign for the Fordham Law Experience, Dean Matthew Diller challenged all members of the Law School community to step up and support the next generation of Fordham lawyers.

Fordham Law School is deeply grateful to the 9,000+ alumni, friends, parents, faculty, and staff who answered Dean Diller’s call by committing more than $110+ million in support of the FORWARD Campaign. This record-setting figure has already enhanced the Fordham Law experience for current students and will continue to transform the legal education landscape for generations to come.

FORWARD Campaign funding was secured in the three priority areas below:

$42 million was donated to enhance the student experience
  • Secured $18 million for scholarships, enabling us to double the number of students receiving aid
  • Endowed 54 new named scholarship funds
  • Established the House System to enhance connectedness through wellness, peer mentorship, and professionalism initiatives
  • Recruited more diverse students (up 30% since 2014) with introduction of IDEAL and REAL Scholars programs

$28 million was contributed with a focus on engagement and impact
  • Launched six new centers and institutes
  • Established five new clinics
  • Earmarked $13+ million to further critical work around social justice issues

$37 million was gifted to support our scholars and resources
  • Endowed the John D. Feerick Research Chair
  • Invested more than $2 million to expand faculty scholarship
  • Increased unrestricted annual fund support ($23 million) to meet urgent needs
