FCLC First-Year Summer Read

FCLC and FCRH are sharing a common read with our incoming first-year students. We are very excited about the many possibilities offered by Viet Thanh Nguyen's The Refugees.

Why the summer read?

In these challenging times, we are conscious of the need to bring people together and what better way to do so than engaging with literature. This rich text offers us the opportunity to delve into many different themes and topics such as belonging, migration, justice, family, and identity.

We have invited members of the Fordham community to discuss and explore the timely issues in The Refugees.

Virtual Engagements

All incoming students will receive an invitation to register for the virtual summer engagements, as well as a free copy of The Refugees.
