In-Person School of Professional and Continuing Studies Ceremony

The in-person School of Professional and Continuing Studies ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 23, at 10 a.m. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in front of Keating Hall on Edwards Parade at the Rose Hill campus. Graduates will receive instructions from their deans regarding their arrival time and line-up location for the procession.

Sunday, May 23

10 a.m. ET

If you've registered to attend the in-person ceremony, see details below.

Guest Tickets

Graduates will receive information from their dean’s office regarding the process for claiming their two guest tickets to the in-person school ceremony. Every person, including children of any age, will need to have a ticket and provide documentation required by New York State for access to campus. Graduates will need to designate a specific attendee when reserving their tickets, noting the guest’s full legal name, email address, cell phone number, and home address. Once issued, tickets are non-transferrable.

Tickets are required to access campus on the day of the ceremony. Graduates and guests will be required to wear a face mask at all times while on campus. All attendees must complete a health screening before entering the campus.

In addition, New York State requires that all attendees (graduates and their guests) provide proof of one of the following for access to the ceremony:

  • a CDC vaccination card which shows a completed COVID-19 vaccine series at least 14 days prior to the ceremony;
  • a negative PCR COVID-19 test, collected within 72 hours of the ceremony;
  • or a prior positive COVID-19 test result, having completed the required isolation period, within the last 90 days.

The ticketing system allows attendees to submit the required documentation in advance for expedited access to campus. All attendees should bring their documentation to the ceremony as well, even if it is submitted in advance.

Attendees who opt not to upload documentation in advance will be screened on-site. We thank you in advance for your patience during this screening process.

Any person without a ticket or without the proper documentation required will be denied entry to the campus. There will be no exceptions.

We ask that guests arrive on campus no earlier than 90 minutes in advance of their graduate’s school ceremony time.

Severe Weather

We will hold the school ceremonies outside in front of Keating Terrace on Edwards Parade if at all possible. Please be aware that if there is just a little rain or periodic showers, the ceremony will remain outside. Therefore, please plan ahead and carry an umbrella, wear sensible shoes, and bring a nice sense of humor.

In the event of severe weather, the ceremony will be moved under a tent on Martyrs’ Court Lawn at the Rose Hill Campus. Guests with tickets will be seated in the tent with the graduates. When entering the campus on the day of the school ceremony, guests will be directed to the correct location of the ceremony. The ceremony will be livestreamed regardless of the weather.

Travel to the Rose Hill Campus

Parking will be available free of charge on the Rose Hill campus. Please note that cars will not be allowed to drive on campus during or between school ceremonies. Graduates residing on campus will receive information from the Office of Residential Life regarding arrangements for moving out of their residence halls.

Guests may also choose to take public transportation to campus. We are fortunate to have the Metro-North Harlem and New Haven line trains literally at our doorstep and recommend you consider the train if traveling from Manhattan, Westchester County, or Connecticut. For additional information, visit the MTA website.

More information and directions to campus may be found on our maps and directions page.

As a reminder, please do not plan to arrive at the ceremony more than 90 minutes prior to your graduate’s ceremony.

Virtual School of Professional and Continuing Studies Ceremony

All graduates in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, regardless of whether they are attending the in-person ceremony, will be individually recognized by having their name announced and having a customizable slide shown during the virtual school ceremony. This ceremony is scheduled to be videocast on Saturday, May 22 at 11 a.m. eastern time. More information will be sent out by the dean’s office to graduates.
