POSITION: CIO Office Technical Assistant at RH

SUMMARY

The CIO Office Technical Assistant will be a vital member of our team, assisting in the daily administration and support within the Office of the VP/CIO. This role requires a highly motivated and ambitious student with exceptional analytical, research, statistical, and programming skills, creative thinking, and is innovative. Applicants are expected to be tech-savvy, provide a high level of customer service, demonstrate exemplary interpersonal skills, and maintain a professional attitude at all times. The ideal candidate should be proficient in one or more programming languages. This individual will also be responsible for building small code or applications as needed. Hours will be assigned around your class schedule, with a minimum of 10 hours and a maximum of 19 hours a week.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a registered full-time student.
  • Must be in good academic standing during the semester of their appointment.

  • Highly motivated student with a passion for creating and supporting great products.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of software development and programming languages.
  • Experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and use them efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Linux fundamentals and scripting.
  • Basic knowledge of git and git workflows.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and attention to detail).
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and continuously grow.
  • Candidates must be critical thinkers, accountable, trustworthy, resilient, and detail-oriented.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in programming for interactive websites.
  • Implement proper data architecture for application websites.
  • Work with server architecture for application websites.
  • Collaborate with staff to execute application design requirements.
  • Design customer end-user experience interfaces.
  • Work within an Enterprise Project Management framework.
  • Work on the design, architecture, and deployment of applications, new websites, and mobile application programs.
  • Engage in real-world cross-functional technology problem-solving.
  • Support Product Specialists on R&D research and feature requirement gathering.
  • Provide testing support in staging and production environments.
  • Update software documentation to track progress and updates.
  • Help solve workflow challenges in mission-critical applications.
  • Participate in various aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, code implementation, testing, and support.
  • Create high-quality software that meets clients' needs.
  • Build performant and usable interfaces for growing businesses with complex needs.
  • Use and interact with Javascript-based libraries to build components.
  • Organize workflow and effectively collaborate on programming projects.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Understand database concepts and functionality.
  • Engage in web app development, including both front-end and back-end development, as well as full-stack development skills.
  • Apply data analytics techniques and create visualizations from data.

COMPENSATION: $16.00 per hour
