COVID-19 Screening and Containment Working Group
Objectives
- Care of students, faculty, administrators, and staff
- Develop new policies and procedures for pre-screening of new, returning, and arriving students, including international students
- Develop new policies and procedures for faculty, administrators and staff being cleared free of COVID-19 prior to first day back on campus
- Develop testing protocols and a menu of updated and new policy and procedure options for early detection of COVID infections appropriate to the changing level of emergency and including temperature checks at University entrances and an on-campus testing program in anticipation of wider availability of tests
- Update and further develop coordinated contact tracing procedures and capabilities involving multiple areas of the University
- Update isolation and quarantine procedures flexible to changing levels of emergency
- Update Emergency Management Team communication procedures and communication plan
- Address the needs of high-risk individuals
- Develop an updated vaccination program in anticipation of the development of a vaccine
- Alignment with NY State guidelines
- Secure supplies of testing equipment and medication
- Update procedures for counseling and pastoral support
- Update policies related to student and staff travel
- Develop (in coordination with other Working Groups) Prevention and Education Campaigns
- Other identified issues
