Application Requirements

1. Transcripts
Applicants must submit an official transcript from each college, university, and graduate school attended, regardless of whether the program was completed or a degree was awarded.
2. Personal statement
All applicants must submit a 500-word personal statement describing your reasons for pursuing this graduate degree, your five-year career plan, and the contributions you hope to make to the profession upon completing the course of study.
3. Two letters of recommendation
Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation. Each letter should be from someone who knows you well and can provide a candid, personalized evaluation of your potential success in the graduate program. If possible, at least one of the letters should be from a former or current professor.
4. Resume/CV
Applicants must submit a current resume or curriculum vitae. Your resume or curriculum vitae should include your complete university-level educational experience, employment history, and any additional academic or professional activities. Please also include any publications and presentations.
5. TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo score
All applicants are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or Duolingo English Test unless they hold a degree from the United States, Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom, or any Caribbean Island where English is the sole official language.

The language assessment score factors firmly into the decision process. However, the admissions committee may consider applicants who do not attain the minimum score. Phone interviews and conditional acceptance are sometimes offered to applicants with lower scores, but these options are available solely at the discretion of the admissions committee.
6. Application fee
All applicants must pay the $70 application fee. For applications received after the deadline, the fee is $100.
