David Morris is a litigation partner in Fried Frank’s New York office. He joined the firm in 1989 and became a partner in 1996.

Mr. Morris’s practice focuses on securities litigation and arbitration, regulatory enforcement, corporate governance, commercial disputes, class actions and bankruptcy litigation, as well as multinational litigation. He has significant experience in derivatives, swaps, collateralized mortgage obligations, collateralized bond obligations, credit derivatives, repurchase agreements, mutual funds and hedge funds.

His clients include broker-dealers, securities issuers, hedge funds, lenders, issuers of public stock, and investors, as well as companies and individuals involved in a variety of commercial disputes. He is co-author of the hedge-fund chapter of a multi-volume book on Sarbanes Oxley.

Prior to joining Fried Frank, Mr. Morris served as law clerk to the Hon. Wilfred Feinberg, Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, in 1987–88.

Mr. Morris admitted to the bar in New York.
