Experience

Giorgio Bovenzi has taught at Fordham Law School since 2008, focusing on legal ethics in multinational practice.

Giorgio Bovenzi is a partner at Dentons US LLP in New York, where he represents an international client base in a wide variety of business transactions including credit, banking, regulatory, derivatives, and cross-border insolvency law in multiple jurisdictions around the world. He focuses on global credit risk management and advises clients on foreign counterparty credit risk in complex cross-border financial transactions.

He has also been involved in innovative multi-jurisdictional insolvency proceedings, representing foreign debtors, and has participated in industry-defining international projects with the International Swap and Derivatives Association (ISDA) and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT).

He received his JD-equivalent degree from the Universita' degli Studi di Napoli "Federico II", Italy, in 1988 and his Master of Comparative Jurisprudence (LLM(C.J.)) from New York University School of Law in 1995. He clerked for the Honorable Donald C. Pogue, U.S. Court of International Trade, in 1995-96.

Giorgio Bovenzi is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, INSOL International, and the International Bar Association, and an active participant in international conferences, seminars and forums.
