After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and clerking for a federal judge, Mr. Snider joined Davis Polk in 1977. He became a partner in Davis Polk’s Litigation Department in 1983, and served as Litigation Department Practice Group Coordinator from 2000-2005. In 2006, Mr. Snider became Davis Polk’s General Counsel, while continuing to serve clients as a member of the Litigation Department.

He has represented accounting firms, financial institutions, and other institutional and individual clients in a wide range of professional liability, securities, tax and other complex civil cases in both state and federal courts and before the SEC. In July 2013, Mr. Snider became the firm’s Professional Responsibility Counsel.

Mr. Snider is Co-author of Corporate Privileges and Confidential Information (Law Journal Press) and “Professional Liability” in Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts (West Group and ABA). He has served on both the Professional Responsibility Committee and the Professional Discipline Committee of the Bar Association of the City of New York.
