Terry Rice
Adjunct Professor of Law
Professor Rice has more than 45 years of legal experience with both an academic and practical background. His primary areas of concentration are land use, municipal law, and federal civil rights/constitutional litigation. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Pace Law School and has written the Zoning and Land Use section of Syracuse Law Review's Annual Survey of New York Law since 1985.
He is the author of McKinney's Practice Commentaries for the New York Town Law and Village Law. He has represented municipalities and board and land use applicants in New York before administrative boards, trial courts, and appellate courts. He has represented municipalities across the nation in constitutional-civil rights litigation, primarily involving land use and First Amendment issues, as well as RLUIPA, ADA, and RICO.
