Bruce Buck, Chairman, Chelsea Football Club
Mr. Buck founded, and for more than 20 years was the partner in charge of, the European offices of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP, a well-known international law firm with 2,000 lawyers based in offices around the globe. A practitioner in Europe for thirty years, Mr. Buck’s legal practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, as well as capital markets transactions. He was named one of the 100 most influential lawyers in Britain by The Times newspaper. Mr. Buck is the longest-serving trustee of Orbis Charitable Trust, the U.K. affiliate of the worldwide charity devoted to curing blindness in the developing world. Mr. Buck also serves on the charity’s audit committee. In other charitable activities, Mr. Buck is chairman of the Chelsea Foundation and its affiliate, the Past Players Trust. Mr. Buck is a longtime Chelsea fan, having been a season ticket holder since approximately 1990.
Ross Greenburg, Former President, HBO Sports
Ross Greenburg boasts a 33-year career at HBO and is recognized as one of the most innovative producers and storytellers in television history. He served as vice president/executive producer of HBO Sports (1985–1990), senior vice president/executive producer (1990–2000), and president of HBO Sports (2000–2011). He established Ross Greenburg Productions in 2011 to bring his creativity and vision to a larger audience. His company partners with networks such as Showtime, Epix, NBC, ESPN, and Fox and has produced top-tier television programming spanning from sports reality series to historical documentaries. Greenburg has won more than 100 major television sports awards including eight Peabody awards, 54 Sports Emmy® awards, and 21 Cable ACE awards, among others. He is an adjunct professor and advisory sports member of Iona College’s Center for Sports, Entertainment, and Media Business. He earned a B.A. in political science from Brown University.
Ken Jacobson, Deputy National Director, Anti-Defamation League (ADL)
As ADL’s deputy national director, Kenneth Jacobson serves in a number of capacities including representing ADL when CEO Jonathan Greenblatt is not available, writing extensively on ADL subjects, speaking to groups across the country, and educating ADL staff and volunteer leaders about the history and legacy of the organization. Ken joined ADL in 1971. He is the longest-serving ADL professional and has served in many roles, including leading the international affairs, civil rights, marketing and communications, and education divisions at various times. Ken has a B.A. in history from Yeshiva University and an M.A. in history from Columbia University.
Ron Mix, Retired Hall of Fame Offensive Tackle, NFL
Ron Mix: Ron Mix is an NFL Hall of Fame offensive tackle, Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee (1979), and motivational speaker. He attended the University of Southern California on a football scholarship. Upon graduation, he played right tackle and guard for the AFL’s Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers (1960–69) and the NFL’s Oakland Raiders for two years. Mix attended the University of San Diego Law School in the offseason and earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1970. His coach nicknamed him "The Intellectual Assassin" because of his aggressive style of play and academic interests. An eight-time AFL All-Star (1961–69) and a nine-year All-Pro, Mix is also a member of the Los Angeles Chargers Hall of Fame. Other honors included selection to the Sports Illustrated All-Time Pro Football Team and the American and International Jewish Sports Halls of Fame. Mix’s law practice, which his son Charles recently took over, focuses on representing retired professional athletes in claims for workers’ compensation benefits. Mix is a native Californian.
