Commuter Campus Hangouts at Rose Hill
The Rose Hill campus is full of great locations for commuting student to relax, study, and mingle in between classes and meetings. We've listed our favorite spots. See the Rose Hill map for these locations.
The Student Lounge - Lower Level of the McGinley Center
The Student Lounge is the most popular place to meet commuting students. The lounge contains a large screen television, kiosk, comfortable seats, tables, wireless Internet and a pool table. The Student Lounge often hosts events sponsored by the Commuting Student Association (CSA) and Commuter Assistants. This is also where all flyers are posted about programs or promotions pertaining to commuter students.
Lombardi Center
Renovated in 2005, the Fitness Center has more than 50 aerobic and weight machines for all your exercise needs. The Fitness Center also contains six flat-screen televisions to keep you entertained while you work out.
McGinley Second Floor Lounge
The second floor of the McGinley Center is a great place to work or relax between classes. Also located on this floor are both the Office for Student Involvement (McGinley 204), the Commuting Students Association office (McGinley 202) and Rose Hill 237, where CSA meetings are held at 1 pm on Mondays.
William D. Walsh Family Library
The Walsh Library at Rose Hill contains more than 1,000,000 volumes, 380,000 government documents, four computer labs and much more. It is the perfect place to research any assignment or study quietly. Take the time to visit the Museum of Greek , Etruscan and Roman Art, located on the first floor to your right.
Keating Basement
A popular place to study and hang out on comfortable furniture.
Edwards Parade
In nice weather, you can find the majority of the student body hanging out on Eddie’s Parade. It is a great place to relax with friends, sunbathe, or play Frisbee and wiffle ball. Eddie’s Parade is one of the students’ favorite places on campus!
