Stop by our check-in table to pick up your event tickets. University staff will be on hand to welcome you, answer your questions and provide information about the University, surrounding neighborhood and local restaurants.

Fordham College at Lincoln Center Dean’s List Ceremony | 3:00 p.m. | TBD

Students at Fordham College at Lincoln Center who excel within our rigorous curriculum are recognized for their performance throughout their academic career.  The College’s annual Dean’s List Ceremony, hosted by Dean Laura Auricchio, Ph.D., is a signature event in which faculty and members of the University administration honor our highest achieving students.  The Dean’s List, published annually in the fall, is composed of those students in the College who have received letter grades for at least 24 Fordham credits during the preceding academic year and have achieved high scholastic standing with a quality point index of 3.600 or above.  

Double-Decker Bus Tour of NYC | Downtown Tour | 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (Bus will depart outside of 140 W 62nd Street promptly at 6:30 p.m.; Bus will board at 6:00 p.m.)

Begin Family Weekend by embarking on a real NYC adventure! See NYC's most popular downtown sights and attractions on a private charter bus! Tickets are required, and this tour will run rain or shine. Audio headsets will be provided. 

Saturday, October 1

Stop by our check-in table to pick up your event tickets. University staff will be on hand to welcome you, answer your questions and provide information about the University, surrounding neighborhood and local restaurants.

Jazz Breakfast | Law School | 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 
Tickets: $30 per adult or college student, $20 per child 12 or younger

This event will give you an opportunity to mingle with Fordham families. Members of Fordham's own Jazz Ensemble will be on hand to provide some musical entertainment as you enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Fordham University Football Game | Jack Coffey Field at the Rose Hill Campus | Transportation will depart from LC at 11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. for families who purchase bus tickets. Kickoff at 1:00 p.m.
Game Tickets: $15 per adult.  $10 for youth under 12 and guests over the age of 65 

Fordham students may attend free of charge with their Fordham ID. Join your Fordham student to watch the hard-hitting action and cheer on the Rams as they take on Georgetown University.

* Note: Families who attend the Fordham Football Game will not be available to join in the other Saturday afternoon events. Tickets for the game itself will become available by the end of August.

Transportation to the Football Game
Tickets: $7 per adult or student

Ram Van service will be extremely limited the day of the Football Game. Thighherefore, Lincoln Center will be providing families and students with round-trip bus transportation at a cost of $7 per person. Buses will depart from Lincoln Center at either 11:15 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. Return buses will depart the Rose Hill campus at 4:30 and 5:00 pm.

If you wish to use alternative transportation, please find a list of useful information below.

  • Subway ($2.75 one-way) - The Rose Hill Campus is accessible by both the D train and the 4 train at Fordham Road. If you are interested in commuting via train, please find more information below about purchasing a MetroCard.
  • MetroNorth ($7.25 one-way off-peak) - Take the Harlem Line from Grand Central to the Fordham stop and you will exit on the Southwest corner of the Rose Hill Campus. If you are traveling between Manhattan and the Bronx, purchasing a CityTicket for $5.00 may be a reduced cost option.
  • Parking at Rose Hill ($20 per car) - Due to the Rose Hill Family Weekend, parking will be limited on the Rose Hill campus. We do recommend considering another transportation option. If you wish to drive to the Football Game, please arrive as early as possible as the Rose Hill Family Weekend events begin at 9 a.m. 

The below Saturday afternoon events are open to families who are not attending the Football Game at Rose Hill.

Big Onion Walking Tour: Social Justice in Greenwich Village: from “The Crisis” to The Stonewall | Tour departs from the northeast corner of 7th Ave South & Christopher Street, in front of Duplex cabaret. | 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Our stroll through Greenwich Village, one of New York’s most picturesque neighborhoods, will take you on a journey from the bucolic 18th century village of Greenwich, to the early 19th century summer getaway from “the city,” through the days of the bohemian intelligentsia of the 1920s to the rockers and radicals of the 1960s. We will explore the unique and legendary home to artists, writers, and radicals. We share stories of the Gay Rights and Labor Rights movements, of iconic artists and writers such as John Sloan and Edna St. Vincent Millay, and of folk and rock musicians, including Woody Guthrie and Jimi Hendrix.

Join Fordham for an afternoon tour of the Museum of the City of New York: Museum Overview Tour. Ticket cost includes admission to the museum exhibits.

The Museum of the City of New York is dedicated to showcasing the past, present and future of urban life in the Big Apple, and how it came to be one of the world's most influential metropolises. 

Spread across four floors, the exhibitions include paintings, toys, photographs and many other items that illustrate the history of New York and New Yorkers throughout the generations, from the golden age of Broadway theatre to objects from the city's historic police and fire departments. Videos, interactive touch screens and other audiovisual material allows for an immersive experience of the City That Never Sleeps.

Transportation

Throughout your weekend, you can use public transportation for your family to see all the city has to offer. The subway station closest to Fordham LC is the 59th Street Columbus Circle station a block away from campus. The A, C, B, D and 1 trains stop there. The M11 bus stops right in front of campus. Here are links to the local public transportation:

  • Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) for the subway, bus, Long Island Railroad and Metro-North information
  • The PATH train for access to Manhattan from New Jersey
  • New Jersey Transit for rail and bus transportation to Manhattan from New Jersey

The MTA subway system makes it easy to get around the city. Your family can purchase a MetroCard at any station. OMNY is the MTA’s new fare payment system. With OMNY, you can use your own contactless card or smart device to make fare payments and enter the system. 

 

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements

All those participating in Family Weekend 2022 (ages 6 months and older) are required to be fully vaccinated, with at least one booster dose, against COVID-19 in order to participate.  Participants must provide proof of vaccination in the form of a vaccination card and valid photo ID (such as a driver's license), NYS Excelsior Pass (or equivalent government-sponsored app) and valid photo ID or NYC  COVID SAFE prior to entering an event.   

Please note: A recent COVID-19 infection does not exempt you from the vaccine or booster requirement. Antibody tests also cannot be used for entry.

Refund Policy

Tickets to Lincoln Center Family Weekend are for the most part non-refundable.  Outdoor events occur rain or shine.  Refunds will not be provided based on weather.

If an unvaccinated guest arrives at a Fordham Family Weekend event with a purchased ticket, the person will not be allowed to enter the event and a refund will not be provided.

If a guest or a Fordham student becomes covid positive leading up to Family Weekend, please contact [email protected].  Similarly if a guest has covid symptoms leading up to a Family Weekend event, please do not attend the event.  Contact us at [email protected].  We will work with families who have an unexpected covid positive case or covid symptoms on refunds.
